Montmartre

This walk has surprises in store for you !

You have probably seen numerous photos of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the place du Tertre with its painters, two places among the more touristic in Paris. But the quarter of Montmartre butte also has a little known aspect and especially small quiet streets away from the bustle of the city, a vineyard, mills and very picturesque cabarets.

From the place des Abbesses, you will stroll in those small streets where artists found refuge and inspiration in the Montmartre of the beginning of the 20th century. The mythical places which have welcomed them are still here ! Then, let yourself be caught by surprise by the bucolic atmosphere of the pleasant allée des Brouillards or the wild garden. Finish with the inevitable walkabout around the Sacré-Cœur but the panoramic view deserves a little sacrifice.
